Objectives:
Membership: All the members of any recognized Clubs of Alcoholics in Treatment (CAT), that follow the principles of the Hudolin methodology, are automatically elected as members of this association. In consideration of the large number of members, of the huge distances and the relevant travelling costs, there is no quorum requirement for the validity of any meeting. Membership meetings shall be pre-announced by electronic mail and the validity will be ensured whatever the number of members attending. Honorary Presidency: In consideration of the efforts made over the years to promote the development of the CATs worldwide, Prof. Visnja Hudolin is hereby appointed Honorary President. General Assembly: During the first General Assembly, which tentatively is to be held in Italy in second half of 2007, this charter will be approved, or modified, and thereafter adopted, by the affirmative vote of the majority of the representatives of the various countries attending (50% + 1 vote). Each country shall be entitled to one vote for every 200 recognized Clubs of Alcoholics in Treatment (or a fraction thereof) existing in the country. The first General Assembly shall be chaired by Prof. Visnja Hudolin in her quality of Honorary President, plus one representative for each continent. Elections of Officers: The General Assembly shall appoint an Executive Committee for an initial term of 2 years, consisting of one President and 3 vice-presidents, each of the latter representing A) Europe B) Asia-Africa-Oceania and C) America. The Executive Committee shall adopt its decision by the affirmative vote of the majority of its members; the vote of the President shall count twice. It is advisable that the members of the Executive Committee are all conversant with English language. Principal office/ Secretary: Initially the office will be located at ……………….. The Executive Committee may change the location from time to time, or establish branch offices at any place where the organization is required to conduct its activities. Assets and financial means: The organization’s property is irrevocably dedicated to satisfy the aforesaid mission and objectives. No part of it shall ever be used to the benefit of any private person, any member, director or officer of the organization. In case of liquidation, all properties and assets remaining after paying for all debts and obligations, shall be distributed to non-profit organizations that share similar mission and objectives.
